Former India batter Aakash Chopra said Shubman Gill is likely to continue as vice-captain for the T20 World Cup 2026, though he noted that Hardik Pandya remains an option. While selecting his India squad for the T20 World Cup, Chopra included Gill but said the team management may not finalise the vice-captaincy yet and could also consider Hardik.“The fact is that Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Sanju Samson will be the three openers in this team.
