Mumbai: Auxiliary bishop of the archdiocese of Bombay Dominic Savio Fernandes voiced the community’s hurt amid growing violence against Christians nationwide. He urged Christians to “not be afraid, nor let fear harden your hearts or evoke anger.“Bishop Savio said, “Our hearts are heavy due to reports of disruption to Christmas gatherings in several states… Acts carried out by small groups of extremists. They do not represent the spirit of our nation nor the kindness of the majority of Hindu brothers and sisters who have stood with us, supporting our schools, hospitals, outreach to the poor and marginalised in daily life.”
