Mumbai: Andheri police registered an FIR against a 41-year-old inebriated motorcyclist after he rode his two-wheeler over a traffic cop’s foot and caused damage to his breathalyzer.The incident occurred early on Sunday on the Andheri-Ghatkopar Link Road. Traffic police from the Sahar Traffic division were carrying out checks at Satamwadi Junction. Around 1.15 am, constable Pritam Omase gestured at a biker to halt. But he tried to flee and rode over Omase’s foot, injuring him. The bike’s handle brushed against Omase’s hand, resulting in his breathlyzer falling to the ground and getting damaged.Police then took the motorcyclist, VP Singh, into custody and sent him to a hospital for blood-alcohol test. The report confirmed he had been driving drunk. Subsequently, he was sent to the Andheri Police station where an FIR was registered.
