NEW DELHI: A SpiceJet Boeing 737 returned to Delhi within an hour of taking off for Leh after reportedly suffering an engine failure on Tuesday morning. There were around 150 people on board the Boeing 737 aircraft operating flight SG121, the source added.The pilot initiated a Mayday call shortly after the technical snag was detected.Also read: After Jharkhand air ambulance crash, chopper with 7 on board ditches in sea near Andamans The aircraft took off at 6.08am and returned at 6.49am. As per protocol, Delhi Airport made all necessary preparations for an emergency landing. “A SpiceJet flight operating from Delhi to Leh on February 24 returned to Delhi after experiencing a technical issue.
