    Mumbai Congress leaders have urged the Police Commissioner to file an FIR against city BJP president Amit Satam for allegedly using inflammatory language against migrants

    MUMBAI: A group of Congress leaders have requested commissioner of police, Mumbai to order registration of FIR against city BJP president Amit Satam for allegedly using inflammatory and abusive language against migrants living in the city.I his letter to the police commissioner, city Congress vice-president Abul Hasan Khan said that Satam’s statement “are designed to create division, foster hatred and promote enmity between different groups residing in the city.” He demanded that an FIR under section 153 A, 505 and other relevant sections of BNS be registered against Satam.Meanwhile, the Congress leaders also took out a match against the BJP city president. The police detained the Congress functionariees and they included Khan, MRCC’s secretaries Suresh Shetty, Siraj Rashid Khan, Adv Satish Shinde, Sunita Gaikwad, Syed Mehdi Rizvi, member Ramesh Kumar Sharma, NSUI Mumbai ex vice president Imran Abul Hasan Khan among others.
