Mumbai: A 37-year-old pedestrian was killed after a dumper allegedly rammed into him in Mulund, Mumbai, on Saturday.The deceased has been identified as Suresh Babu Jagtap, a resident of Khindi Pada, Bhandup. According to police, the accident took place when Jagtap was walking along the road and was hit by the dumper, resulting in severe injuries. He was rushed to hospital, where he was declared dead.The driver of the dumper has been identified as Brijesh Somnath Yadav. Mulund police have registered an FIR against him under Sections 281 and 106(1) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNS), read with Sections 134(A)(B) and 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act for rash and negligent driving and failure to render assistance after the accident. Further investigation is underway, and the vehicle has been seized, police said.
