Bhopal: The Crime Branch on Sunday claimed to have arrested a man, who said he is a model, from an under-construction building in Idgah Hills, seizing 11.05 grams of MDMA in the case. The accused claims to be a model from Mumbai and was allegedly attempting to sell the drug in Bhopal after procuring it from Indore. Police also recovered two mobile phones from him. The total value of the seized drugs and phones is estimated at Rs1.65 lakh. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway.According to Crime Branch officials, on December 7, they received a tip-off that a man standing inside an under-construction building in Idgah Hills was carrying MD and waiting for a customer. Acting on the information, a team detained the suspect. A search led to the recovery of two mobile phones from the pocket of his lower, along with a transparent packet containing 11.05 grams of MD. The seized drug is valued at around Rs55,000, while the phones are estimated to be worth Rs1.10 lakh.During interrogation, the accused said that he procured the MD from a person in Indore and brought it to Bhopal to sell at a higher price.
