Rohit shakes a leg to Panwadi from Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari

‘It is easy to get swayed by the love online, but meeting your fans is the real deal’Reflecting on the immense popularity he enjoys, Rohit says, “It is so easy to be swayed by all the love that you get on Instagram, but the real deal is when you meet people in person, I absolutely love it. When people give you a hug, and you see a fan crying because you’ve given them a hug – those moments stay with you. Every single time that happens, it feels like a scene from a film.” Looking back at his journey, he says, “When I came to Mumbai at 15, I literally knew no one and had no idea what I was doing. Starting from there to wherever I’ve reached today and the kind of love I enjoy, I don’t think it’s something that I would give up for anything.” While he has shared screen space with many renowned actors, there’s one leading lady he is crazy about. Rohit shares, “It’s a known fact, but whoever does not know this, I am completely obsessed with Vidya Balan ma’am. She’s incredible. I think she’s a beautiful human being and a phenomenal actor. I’m actively, every single day, manifesting a project that I get to work with her on.”But behind the popularity is immense hard work, and it does get tough sometimes. The actor says, “There have been times when I felt, why am I putting myself through this when it’s just easier to not. But then I remind myself why I started out doing this, and I know this sounds like such an Instagram quote – ‘Remind yourself of why you started’, but honestly, that’s what’s helped me.”

‘I am fascinated by people who are ambitious’Rohit made the term ‘future wife’ in Mismatched a viral trend. When asked what are the traits his future wife needs to have, he replied, “I think ambition is very, very important to me. Not just my future wife, but any person I meet and anyone I talk to – I am really fascinated by people who are ambitious. Also, she should be respectful, and if she has long hair, it’ll be a bonus.”‘I’m single’Ask him about his relationship status, and he says, “I would really like it if my fans stop thinking that I date every single actress I work with, or every girl I am seen with. It’s crazy! Contrary to many different opinions on the internet, I’m single.”

Rohit’s sweet newspaper nostalgiaTalking about being excited to himself in the newspapers, Rohit shared an anecdote from his school days. He said, “When we were in school, we would see photos of toppers with their percentiles published in newspapers. For us, that was like the biggest thing ever… like you have arrived in life if your photograph is in the newspapers. The school would make cutouts of the articles and put them up on notice boards. And I would say to myself…one day I’ll be there. So now, every time I see myself on the pages of a newspaper, I secretly want to take a cutout and go back to school and pin it up on those notice boards.”The promo for the episode with Rohit Saraf drops today. Grounding for upgrade: Airbus A320 planes hit by software glitch globally; 350 of IndiGo & AI impacted in India | India News

Grounding for upgrade: Airbus A320 planes hit by software glitch globally; 350 of IndiGo & AI impacted in India

NEW DELHI: Air travel will get majorly impacted in India and across the globe with the world’s largest selling single aisle — Airbus A320 family of planes — going to be grounded this weekend for a software upgrade. In India, over 350 A320 family planes of IndiGo and Air India Group will be grounded for this upgrade that is expected to be over in 2-3 days. They are expected to resume flying by next Monday or Tuesday. Globally about 6,000 aircraft are likely to be impacted. The upgrade is in wake of an American low cost carrier JetBlue’s A320 operating from Cancun to Newark on Oct 30, 2025, “unexpectedly pitch(ing) downward without pilot input.” The uncontrolled descent “likely occurred during an ELAC (flight control computer) switch change,” according to the National Transportation Safety Board. The aircraft diverted to Tampa, where some passengers were hospitalised.Tackling this issue requires a software upgrade. For the new A320 family planes, the work requires about half an hour on each plane through “loading facility.” On older A320s, some hardware upgrade will also be required and hence the overall work will take longer. In India, almost all IndiGo A320 family planes are the new variants. The older A320s are in single digits. So IndiGo, which has over 350 A320 family planes in its fleet, upgrade on the required 250 aircraft should be over by Monday or Tuesday, said sources. Air India, which has about 120-125 A320 family planes, should also have the same situation, with over 100 impacted, sources added.Airbus said in a statement: “Analysis of a recent event involving an A320 Family aircraft has revealed that intense solar radiation may corrupt data critical to the functioning of flight controls. Airbus has consequently identified a significant number of A320 family aircraft currently in-service which may be impacted. Airbus has worked proactively with the aviation authorities to request immediate precautionary action from operators via an alert operators transmission (AOT) in order to implement the available software and/or hardware protection, and ensure the fleet is safe to fly. This AOT will be reflected in an emergency airworthiness directive from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).”Airbus “acknowledges these recommendations will lead to operational disruptions to passengers and customers” and apologised “for the inconvenience caused”. The European airspace major said it “will work closely with operators, while keeping safety as our number one and overriding priority.”

After trading Sanju Samson, Rajasthan Royals consider ownership change ahead of IPL 2026

Speculation swirls around Rajasthan Royals potentially changing hands before the IPL 2026 auction, fueled by a recent viral social media post from industrialist Harsh Goenka, brother of Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka.

The 2008 IPL champions, mirroring Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)’s open pursuit of buyers at a USD 2 billion valuation, have stayed silent on any sale, yet reports highlight internal resets including a blockbuster player trade. This comes amid soaring franchise valuations, drawing interest from buyers in Pune, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru and the USA.

Rajasthan Royals trade Sanju Samson to Chennai Super Kings for a whopping deal

The Royals traded longtime captain Sanju Samson to Chennai Super Kings for INR 18 crore, acquiring Ravindra Jadeja at INR 14 crore and Sam Curran at INR 2.4 crore in return, signalling a strategic overhaul. Owner Manoj Badale described Samson as emotionally drained after 11 seasons and over 4,000 runs, praising his off-field contributions while welcoming Jadeja’s homecoming from the 2008 title-winning squad. These moves coincide with backroom staff changes and venue explorations, as tensions with the Rajasthan Cricket Association prompt talks for Pune’s MCA Stadium, potentially hosting at least four home games.

Royals Sports Group, via Emerging Media Sporting Holdings Limited led by Badale, controls 65% of the franchise, with minority stakes held by Lachlan Murdoch (13%) and RedBird Capital Partners (15%), the latter linked to Liverpool FC, AC Milanand FC Toulouse. RedBird’s 2022 entry valued the team at USD 250 million, underscoring global appeal amid IPL’s growth. Badale remains hands-on in daily operations despite the buzz.

Complicating matters, former co-owner Raj Kundra, once holding shares with wife Shilpa Shetty Kundra, filed a petition at the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) accusing partners of coercing him out post-2015 betting scandal links. Kundra claims illegal 2015 share transfers worth over Rs 1,000 crore without consent, undervalued 2019 settlements, fund diversions, and record manipulations, with the next hearing set for January 5. This echoes the franchise’s 2013 two-year suspension, testing stability as IPL 2026 looms.

91-yr-old living with son out of own will: HC; complainant daughter allowed weekly visits | Mumbai News

Mumbai: Even as the Bombay High Court said that a 91-year-old woman is living with her son and his family out of her own will and not illegally detained, it allowed her daughter to visit her on Sundays for three hours.Justices Bharati Dangre and Shyam Chandak on Monday clarified that the son’s family “shall ensure that some private movements are allowed between the daughter and the mother, and they shall be left to their solitude to the exclusion of other members of the family.”The daughter (69) alleged her mother is illegally detained by her brother’s wife and children. She claimed she was taking care of her mother, but when her brother suffered a brain stroke, their mother visited him and was confined and detained, restricting her communication with her daughter and other family members. The daughter made efforts to free her, and even filed a police complaint. She then filed a habeas corpus petition for her mother’s release and custody. Prosecutor Sangeeta Shinde said the investigating officer on Sept 23 recorded the mother and her caretaker’s statements. The judges perused the statements and were “satisfied” that the mother “is staying with the son on her own will.” She categorically stated she had gone to visit her daughter for a while, ‘but on Sept 20, when she came to meet her son, she realised that she is comfortable with him and she chose to reside there as the house belongs to her.’ She said everyone in her son’s house cares for her and ‘she is not desirous to shift to her daughter’s place’ and wants to continue her stay with her son. There was ‘no quibble with the daughter which constrained her to leave the house.’“In the wake of the categorical statement of Smt… that she wants to lead her life in the house of her son, which she considers to be hers, and with the determination with which she has made the statement, we form an opinion that she is not forced to stay there, and with her free will she is staying there, and is at comfort in the said house,” the judges said. “However, that does not mean her own daughter is not allowed to meet her”, they added. Assisted by the daughter’s advocate Girish Utangale and advocate Heena Mistry, for the son’s family, the parties arrived at a consensus. They agreed that the daughter will visit her mother between 3-6pm on Sundays.

Is Joel Embiid playing tonight vs the Brooklyn Nets? Latest update on the Philadelphia 76ers star’s injury report (November 28, 2025)

The Philadelphia 76ers enter their NBA Cup matchup against the Brooklyn Nets tonight, November 28, 2025, carrying yet another major setback. Their franchise centerpiece, Joel Embiid, remains unavailable due to ongoing right knee injury management. What was initially viewed as short-term soreness has now grown into a prolonged absence that is shaping the early stretch of Philadelphia’s season. For fans eager to see the reigning MVP regain form, the wait continues. Embiid’s knee problems have limited him to only six appearances this year, and tonight marks his ninth consecutive missed game. Despite optimism floating around for a potential return, the organization has made it clear: long-term stability outweighs any temptation for a premature comeback, even in a high-stakes NBA Cup environment.

Joel Embiid’s Injury Report vs the Brooklyn Nets (November 28, 2025)

Embiid’s knee issues trace back to last season and have resulted in the Sixers adopting a strict day-to-day approach. He has not stepped on the court since November 8. A brief spark emerged when he was upgraded to questionable for a recent contest against the Orlando Magic, but the team ultimately ruled him out, maintaining a pattern of late-stage decisions. Head coach Nick Nurse continues to express optimism, suggesting that Embiid could return as early as Sunday’s home game against the Atlanta Hawks. Still, the timing wasn’t suitable for tonight’s trip to Barclays Center.

Philadelphia 76ers’ Injury Report vs the Brooklyn Nets (November 28, 2025)

Philadelphia enters tonight’s matchup at 9-8 with depth severely tested. Kelly Oubre Jr. remains out with a left knee sprain, marking his sixth straight absence. Trendon Watford is sidelined with a left adductor strain, and rookie VJ Edgecombe is missing his third game due to left calf injury management. Paul George, who has played only three games this season, is listed as questionable with a right ankle sprain. Meanwhile, rookie big man Adem Bona is probable as he works through a right ankle issue. The Sixers continue to rely on Jared McCain, who is playing with a thumb splint following recent surgery. Tyrese Maxey, averaging 32.2 points per game, once again steps in as the central offensive force – especially crucial against a Nets team vulnerable to three-point shooting. Maxey has hit four or more threes in 11 of his 17 appearances this season.

Brooklyn Nets’ Injury Report vs the Philadelphia 76ers (November 28, 2025)

The Nets, sitting at 3–14, are dealing with their own injury setbacks. Michael Porter Jr. is out with lower back tightness, Cam Thomas remains unavailable due to a hamstring issue, and Haywood Highsmith continues recovering from right knee surgery. Several other depth pieces are missing as well. With both teams shorthanded, tonight’s 7:30 p.m. ET NBA Cup finale becomes a test of resilience for Philadelphia – particularly without Embiid’s scoring and rim protection, which included averages of 19 points and 5 rebounds in his limited action this year. The absence of the anticipated Embiid-George-Maxey trio remains a growing frustration as the team searches for stability in a season filled with uncertainty.

‘Reforms driving productivity’: FM Sitharaman highlights 8.2% GDP rise; says high-frequency indicators show continued momentum

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday said the July–September GDP growth of 8.2 per cent reflects the strength of the Indian economy and underscores the impact of reforms and fiscal consolidation. In a post on X, Sitharaman said, “Various high-frequency indicators also point to continued economic momentum and broad-based consumption growth.”Official data released earlier in the day showed the economy grew by a higher-than-expected 8.2 per cent in the second quarter of 2025-26 — a six-quarter high — supported by increased factory production following the GST rate cut, which helped offset deceleration in farm output.“The GDP estimates released today shows the robust economic growth and momentum of the Indian economy. With a Real GDP growth rate of 8.2 per cent for Q2 – FY 2025-26 (July-Sept), India is the world’s fastest growing major economy,” Sitharaman wrote.Real GDP has grown 8 per cent in the first half of the current financial year, she added.Sitharaman said the growth was driven by “sustained fiscal consolidation, targeted public investment, and various reforms that have strengthened productivity and improved ease of doing business”.She said the Narendra Modi-led NDA government is committed to sustaining this momentum and advancing reforms that support long-term economic expansion.

Debt roadmap: Adani Group pegs 2030 debt goal at Rs 1 lakh cr; says growth plan won’t hinge on capital raising

The Adani Group on Friday said it is targeting a consolidated debt level of Rs 1 lakh crore by 2030, stressing that its long-term growth strategy aims to minimise reliance on fresh capital raising.Speaking at the Trust Group’s 5th India Debt Capital Market Summit 2025, Adani Group CFO Jugeshinder (Robbie) Singh said the group believes Indian infrastructure must be primarily owned by India, and its balance-sheet strategy is aligned with that approach, PTI reported.“About Rs one lakh crore is our target,” Singh said when asked about the group’s debt plans. “Ideally it should be by 2030… but certainly by 2030,” he added.Singh said the company is working with banks and its internal treasury to address structural issues in India’s debt markets.“Today, there is depth in the availability of funds, but there is no depth in market making. So we need to create that depth. Initially we will have to help ourselves, but we will do it,” he said.He emphasised that the group wants to avoid dependence on capital markets for executing its expansion plans.“From a risk perspective, we want to be in a position where our growth plan is not dependent on us accessing any capital… roughly, we will invest new assets of Rs 1.5 lakh crore a year over the next six years,” he said.On Adani Group’s proposed interest in distressed Sahara Group assets, Singh said “We are hardly involved in any court case whatsoever… but we are very much interested because some of the assets are tailored and of real estate continuous nature. It will make sense for us.” He noted, however, that pathways must be found as the assets remain under litigation.According to sources, the Adani Group’s existing debt of Rs 2.6 lakh crore is supported by Rs 90,000 crore in annual operating profit and Rs 60,000 crore in cash.
