Dr Reddys, Titan & more: Top stocks to buy on December 3 — Check list

HSBC has a buy on Dr Reddys Labs with the target price at Rs 1,430. Analysts said that the semaglutide opportunity is intact for Dr Reddy’s in Canada, and it has replied to Health Canada’s queries on its application. GLP-1 drugs class remains the company’s focus segment and it is making progress in long-term drivers like biosimilars. Health Canada approval for generic semaglutide will be a key catalyst for the stock.Goldman Sachs has a buy on Titan with the target price at Rs 4,500. Analysts said the company expects a 15-20% growth in its jewellery business in the medium term. The company is maintaining jewellery margins despite headwinds. Its consolidated earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) growth is ahead of standalone jewellery EBIT growth, driven by the strong trajectory of Caratlane, watches and other businesses. Titan’s eyewear business is strong in the premium segment and it is exploring how to address the mass market opportunity.Bernstein has and outperform rating on Trent with the target price cut to Rs 5,000. Analysts said they believe that the company’s revenue growth now is at a bottom. From here on the key drivers of recovery are like-for-like for split stores turns positive with base effect, about 20% compounded annual growth rate in Zudio network for three years, improved consumer demand cycle and growth in Westside business. On the other hand the key risk remains the competitive upsurge (more stores and replicating Zudio’s fashion sense and demand pull).CLSA has an outperform rating on Power Grid Corp with the target price at Rs 342. Analysts said that the company’s entry into the battery energy storage systems (BESS) should be a positive surprise with it emerging as a preferred bidder for a 150MW project. The company’s strategy of entering adjacencies such as BESS inside a transmission substation as it is likely to win the BESS concession at 11% above the price of lowest bid. They expect the company to scale-up its BESS portfolio to multi-GW with its competitive advantage of a 100 basis points (= 1 percentage point) lower interest rate versus private competitors.Macquarie has an outperform rating on ITC with the target price at Rs 480. Analysts said that the govt is proposing a new cess on cigarettes, which is likely to replace the compensation cess. This new levy increases uncertainty on taxation for the players, analysts said. In turn this could involve a transition period for things to adapt and normalise to any new system.(Disclaimer: Recommendations and views on the stock market, other asset classes or personal finance management tips given by experts are their own. Dharmendra’s ancestral property worth Rs 5 crore has not gone to his children Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol but to another family member, according to his will |

Dharmendra passed away on November 24 at his residence in Mumbai. The actor had been in and out of hospital for a while before he passed away. While reportedly the actor is known have left an estate of Rs 450 crore before he passed away, he also has an ancestral property worth Rs 5 crore in Punjab. The actor who has always been connected to his roots, chose to give his property to a family member and not his children and here’s why. New details have surfaced suggesting that Dharmendra chose not to pass down his ancestral property to any of his children — Sunny, Bobby, Ajeita, Vijeta, Esha or Ahana. Instead, he decided to gift it during his lifetime to someone completely outside his immediate family. As per reports, he had made this will regarding his ancestral property eight years ago.

Bollywood Celebs Attend Dharmendra’s Prayer Meet!

Dharmendra’s roots trace back to Dango village in Ludhiana district, where he spent three meaningful years of his early childhood. The simple mud-and-brick house there — now worth several crore and it stands as a reminder of where his journey began. Despite his move to big cities and the towering success that followed, his emotional connection to that piece of land remained unshaken. This attachment explains why the actor drafted his will almost a decade ago, well before his health started declining. His choice regarding the ancestral property wasn’t influenced by wealth or inheritance politics but by a deep sense of duty passed down within the family. As Dharmendra’s career blossomed, he shifted away from Punjab but remained aware that the ancestral home needed constant upkeep. His own children, settled elsewhere, would have struggled to maintain it. His nephews, on the other hand, continued living in the region, caring for the land and preserving its sentimental value. The property, estimated at nearly ₹5 crore, was gifted to his uncle’s grandsons, among them Boota Singh, who continues to work at a textile mill in Ludhiana.

The experienced pair trained side by side, facing a barrage of deliveries from India’s throw-down specialists during an extended net session.

Still have doubts? Virat Kohli blows World Cup trumpet with another masterclass

Kohli, in particular, appeared sharp and focused, taking on Raghu’s right-arm pace and Nuwan Seneviratne’s left-arm angles with intent. Under the floodlights, the former captain timed most balls sweetly, though a few fiery deliveries from Raghu zipped past his bat — a reminder of the pace on offer.Head coach Gautam Gambhir watched the action closely, positioned between the nets and keeping a keen eye on proceedings. However, one moment drew attention — after finishing his batting stint, Kohli rested both bats on his shoulders and walked past Gambhir without any exchange. Given recent headlines involving the two, the moment sparked instant curiosity.Rohit, who wrapped up his session shortly after, did pause briefly to chat with Gambhir before heading indoors.Amid the buzz, a clip of former India pacer Sreesanth has been circulating on social media, where he makes a clear appeal to the head coach.“Roko ko mat roko (don’t stop Rohit and Kohli). I will just suggest to Gautam Gambhir that he shouldn’t stop Rohit and Virat at all. Until they want to feature in the ODI series, they should keep on playing. Because they are a thousand times better than the ones currently playing. So all the best to Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. They are brilliant players,” Sreesanth says in the video.Watch the video hereIndia currently lead the three-match series 1-0 and will be aiming to seal the contest in Raipur.

‘One God for vegetarians, one for …’: Telangana CM Revanth Reddy’s remarks on Hindu deities sparks row | Hyderabad News

‘One God for vegetarians, one for …’: Telangana CM Revanth Reddy's remarks on Hindu deities sparks row

HYDERABAD: Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday addressed the executive meeting of the state Congress, highlighting the diversity within the party and drawing an analogy with Hindu religion.“The Congress takes along all types of individuals. One says he will worship Lord Venkateswara, another says he will worship Hanuman. When we could not bring consensus on gods, I don’t think we can have consensus on political leaders and DCC presidents,” he said, according to news agency PTI.He further explained the variety of Hindu worship practices, saying, “How many gods are there for Hindus? Three crores? There is Hanuman for those who are not married. There is another god for those who marry twice. There are local deities where toddy and non-vegetarian food are served during certain events and there are gods worshipped by those who eat ‘dal rice’ (vegetarians).”The CM’s comments came amid reports of unease within the Congress over the appointment of new District Congress Committee (DCC) chiefs.BJP leaders in Telangana, including Union Ministers G Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, criticized the remarks. In a statement, Kishan Reddy said the chief minister, during the recent Jubilee Hills bypoll campaign, had stated that “Congress means Muslims and Muslims mean Congress”.The CM appears to be making arrogant comments against Hindus and Hindu gods and goddesses because of his friendship with the AIMIM, he said. “The time has come for Hindus to unite in Telangana also. The time has come to show the power of Hindus to Revanth Reddy and Congress party,” he said.Sanjay Kumar added, “Hindu society should think now whether they want to face insults by remaining divided or show their power by ensuring unity. BJP never insults other religions. BJP respects all religions.”State BJP president N Ramchander Rao announced protests across Telangana on December 3 against Revanth Reddy’s comments, including the burning of effigies.

Day 5 box office collections

According to early estimates from Sacnilk, the film collected an impressive Rs 10.25 crore net collection on Day 5. Of the total collections, it was reported that an estimated Rs 9.50-10 crore was collected from the Hindi version alone. Tuesday’s collections saw good growth from Monday’s collections which was estimated to be around Rs 8.25 crore. The movie saw a nearly 50% dip in collections on Monday, after recording its highest numbers on Sunday, by raking in Rs 18.25 crore.

Total India net collections

The film that was off to an impressive start at the box office, earning an estimated Rs 50 crore on its opening weekend, has seemingly kept the momentum going. ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ has now climbed its way to an estimated total collection of Rs 71 crore India net. What makes Day 5 especially significant is that the film’s domestic gross is now set to cross Rs 82 crore, officially surpassing the lifetime all-India gross of Dhanush’s 2013 hit ‘Raanjhanaa’ which earned a little over Rs 60 crore net and saw its total collections hit the Rs 81 crore mark. With the Hindi net collection of ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ already crossing these numbers, it is now Dhanush’s highest-grossing Hindi film ever, and that too in just five days.Marketed as the spiritual sequel to the 2013 classic, ‘Tere Ishk Mein’ had good word of mouth, boosting its box office performance. Its impressive weekday hold has also cemented its status as a major commercial hit.

‘Tere Ishk Mein’ to hit Rs 100 crore mark

On paper, equal, On ground, excluded: Mumbai’s PwDs struggle for accessibility | Mumbai News

Mumbai: As the world marks the International Day of Persons with Disabilities today, wheelchair users, deaf citizens and disability advocates in Mumbai say the city remains far from accessible—despite legal guarantees. From sports grounds refusing wheelchairs to inaccessible public transport, ATMs and infrastructure, many say the rights promised under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 remain largely on paper. “We are not asking for privilege, just access,” says wheelchair cricket captain Rahul Ramugade, who has been repeatedly denied entry to local grounds.Among the affected area also hearing impaired persons. “Though Rights of PwD Act ,2016 made accessibility in education, healthcare, law and other public and private services a fundamental right, it is still not fully implemented. As a hearing impaired person, I can say that, while many things have improved, there is still no recognition of Indian Sign Language as an official language or infrastructure that can support deaf individuals,” said Alok Kejriwal, founder & CEO, Signing Hands Foundation. “The responsibility for implementation of this act lies as much on private organizations as government bodies.,” he adds. Parvez Farid whose Mumbra-based NGO Umeed Foundation has worked with PwDs for 14 years cites lack of ATMs accessible to visually impaired persons. “Except one or two banks, most banks have not installed the ATMs which the visually impaired can use without someone else’s help. We need sensitisation of corporates to increase these persons’ empowerment,” said Farid whose NGO helped 30 visually impaired persons get placed in BPOs recently. The BMC claims it has done its best to make public infrastructure accessible to PwDs. It cites the grand Mumbai Coastal Road project—opened to the public in phases since last year—which has attempted to make entry and exit points along the new promenade universally accessible. Also, at several public underpasses that connect the arterial roads to the promenade, the Corporation has installed ramps designed to help wheelchair users navigate the slope comfortably, both while descending and returning to street level. Similar provisions are now being incorporated into newly concretised roads across the city. For instance, in neighbourhoods such as Dadar’s Five Gardens, where footpaths were re-laid a few years ago, access ramps have been included to ensure smoother movement for people with disabilities and senior citizens. However, accessibility advocates point out that these gains are often undermined by the placement of bollards along footpaths. While the BMC installs these bollards to prevent bikers from riding onto pedestrian spaces—an increasingly common violation—wheelchair users and their caregivers say the narrow gaps between bollards leave them struggling to manoeuvre around it. Civic officials said that removing the bollards is not an option as motorists tend to use the footpaths as overflow lanes whenever traffic builds up, creating a safety hazard for pedestrians. They said the challenge lies in designing barriers to stop vehicles but still allow seamless passage for wheelchairs, stretchers and prams. On the sanitation front, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Kiran Dighavkar said all new public toilets are expected to include disabled-friendly ramps and at least one specially designed toilet seat for persons with disabilities. BEST has introduced many accessible electric buses equipped with a mechanical lift for wheelchairs and other mobility devices. These buses were introduced as 12 metre long buses which can accommodate wheelchair passengers through a special ramp and lift. However, not all buses have this feature, and its availability depends on the specific vehicle on a particular route.

Quote of the day by Marcus Aurelius: “If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing…”

Marcus Aurelius, the Roman emperor who ruled from 161 to 180 CE, is remembered not only as a powerful statesman but also as one of history’s greatest Stoic philosophers. His life was marked by political conflict, wars, personal losses and immense responsibility – yet he carried himself with extraordinary clarity and calmness. What set Marcus Aurelius apart was his belief that the mind has the power to shape experience. Through discipline, reflection and introspection, he cultivated inner strength in the midst of public chaos, leaving behind teachings that continue to guide people more than 1,800 years later.Today’s quote of the day, — “If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment,” — comes from his seminal work Meditations. Written privately as a journal during military campaigns, Meditations was never meant for publication. These personal notes were reminders to himself – guiding principles on how to stay centred, moral and rational. This makes the quote even more powerful; it is not advice crafted for an audience but an intimate instruction from a leader to his own mind, urging himself to remain unshaken by life’s circumstances.

Meaning of the quote

The meaning of this quote goes to the heart of Stoic philosophy. Marcus Aurelius teaches that external events, by themselves, do not control our suffering. What hurts us is not the situation but the judgement we attach to it. The gap between an event and our emotional turmoil is filled by interpretation which is something we can change. If someone criticises us, if plans fall apart, if life becomes uncertain, these external triggers are neutral. It is our internal response that creates distress and often amplifies our emotional reactions unnecessarily.By withdrawing the negative judgement, by reframing or releasing our interpretation, we restore inner peace. This idea is profoundly liberating because it places the source of control within us. We cannot always shape the world, but we can shape our outlook, and that gives us immense psychological freedom.Marcus Aurelius imparts a profound message: our emotional states are not simply determined by external circumstances, but rather by the interpretations and meanings we attach to those circumstances. This timeless insight encourages us to take a step back and pause before we react impulsively. It urges us to reflect on the narratives we construct in our minds, allowing us to reclaim our ability to perceive consciously. The Stoic wisdom encapsulated in this understanding remains relevant throughout the ages; while we might not have control over the events occurring around us, we hold the incredible power to decide how those events affect us internally at any given moment, cultivating resilience, clarity, and a life guided by reason and inner calm.”
